Dr. Claudia Senesac is the Project Manager for the ImagingNMD research study as well as a Clinical Professor and Pediatric Clinical Specialist with over 40 years of experience in Pediatric Physical Therapy. She has been recognized as the Outstanding Pediatric Clinician by the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Section on Pediatrics and more recently awarded the Societal Impact and Humanitarian Awards. She has worked among diverse patient populations with complex medical needs and rare diseases in a variety of different environments. She is a licensed physical therapist with teaching, management, supervision, and research experience and has been the Project Manager for the iNMD project since its inception. One of her roles as project manager is to translate what we know from ImagingNMD research into clinical practice. With that goal in mind, she served as the moderator for the most recent PPMD Outcomes workshop developed for physical therapists and industry. She coordinates and meets with site coordinators and iNMD personnel and assists in developing and updating the final protocols and manuals throughout the course of the study. She serves as a clinical evaluator for the study and also organizes training sessions and site visits, develops new recruitment materials for all sites (English and Spanish), tracks and manages data collection schedules, distributes study materials to all sites, and verifies compliance with standardized procedures, IRB procedures and HIPPA Privacy. As Project Manager, Dr. Senesac is the point of contact for the recruitment of the ImagingNMD study.
